MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Florida. – Miami-Dade County Police are searching for the suspect or suspects who went on a crime spree Saturday night, vandalizing dozens of cars in at least three neighborhoods.
The wave of carjackings occurred in three different neighborhoods.
The victims woke up to find that their cars had been broken into after the windows were smashed.
A woman who lives in the Golfwood community did not want to reveal her identity, but told Local 10 News her car was one of those hit.
She said she doesn’t keep valuables in her car, but instead stays to repair the damaged window.
Less than five miles away, in the Golden Lakes neighborhood, a man named Mani also found his car wrecked.
“The neighbor said nine cars were broken into,” Mani said. “One of the cars was one of my cars.”
In the nearby Portofino neighborhood, authorities found more cars had been broken into.
No suspicious information has been published.
Police are looking through surveillance cameras hoping to find a suspect.
