Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, money saving expert Dave Fishwick gave his advice on how drivers can save money when they go on holiday this summer. An increasing number of Britons are looking to leave, but most are also looking to cut their costs as much as possible.
He suggested heading north instead of going to popular southern tourist destinations such as Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
Fishwick said drivers can find a large six-person cabin on the outskirts of Torquay for about the same price as a much smaller cabin in the south.
“Don’t go to Hertz where they are massive and priced and the poor girl behind the desk can’t give you a nickel off because they are told what to do.

He said drivers could sometimes find “cheeky little gas stations” that sell fuel for much less than the major suppliers.
He said, “Those are the kind of people that the app will hopefully highlight.”
Dave praised Vernon’s suggestions for drivers, saying, “That’s good advice.
“Write it down everyone at home. That is.”
The app has grown in popularity since the beginning of the year, with more than 100,000 daily users.
On its busiest day, more than 230,000 people used the app to find the best prices near them.
