Cars Smashed Outside Several Miami-Dade Neighborhoods – NBC Los Angeles

Residents of several Miami-Dade County neighborhoods said their cars were vandalized this weekend and now police are looking for those responsible.

Wester Theodore said he was getting ready to drop his mother off at work when he realized his family’s car had been broken into outside their North Miami Beach home.

“I think this is shocking,” Theodore told our sister station Telemundo 51 last weekend, adding that only a few pairs of glasses had been taken from his wife’s car.

Theodore estimated that about $500 in damage was caused. Police have not confirmed how much damage was done.

Auto theft incidents were reported in three area neighborhoods: Golfwood, Golden Lakes and Portofino.

The police ask for the help of citizens to find those involved. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
