1 man shot to death Sunday afternoon at Overland Park car wash/gas station

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man was shot to death after an altercation at an Overland Park BP gas station at College Boulevard and Antioch Road.

Police said the shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. after two cars entered the gas station.

The occupants of the cars argued and a gunman shot the victim.

Both cars drove away, leaving the shooting victim on the ground at the gas station.

It is not known what the discussion was about.

One of the vehicles was a Toyota Highlander and the other a Chevrolet Cruze, police said.

Investigators were reviewing video of the incident from at least one camera at the gas station.

The victim’s name will not be released until police speak with his family, police said.
